JBA Architecture & Consulting is proud to continue serving the students of the Principle Academy Charter School (PAC) with the expansion of its recently completed elementary school. The elementary school building, completed in September 2017 and currently housing 380 students in Kindergarten through fifth grade, was an adaptive reuse of the vacant ROSS Department Store in the Cardiff Circle Shopping Plaza. Community support for IAAC has exceeded expectations, and as such, IAAC is ready to embark on the development of its Middle School ahead of schedule. Students who graduate from PAC's Elementary School will simply move next door to existing space that will be renovated to serve grades six through eight.
“Sustainability goes beyond renewable energy and recycled materials; to repurpose vacant properties for public use can alleviate the problem of urban and suburban blight to the benefit of the community it serves.” – Bill Pappalardo, Managing Partner
PAC's vision is to ultimately serve grades K - 12 and will look to continue revitalizing this once-dormant property to house all 1,250 students by 2021.
JBA Architecture & Consulting provided programming, planning, architectural design and construction oversight services and has begun planning and design services to move the Middle School phase forward.
The real estate developer is excited that the school is beginning to revitalize this dormant property and continue being active supporters of the community.
